Ive given this a lot of thought over the last few weeks and although im sure 99% of you won't believe this im going to say it anyway. Although I love the forum/people and freedom of this place im putting far in far too much time and effort, time that could be better used doing something more constructive, and although tony and jeff have never said I have to do this or that I still feel a responsibility to keep the cage full of content, and to be honest its just too much work with little reward. Theres lot of people here that can more then handle the cage duties and they don't have to share the same thoughts as i do for it. Theres a few people I have in mind so im hoping at least one of them either responds here willing to take it on or by PM, but id like to wrap it up pretty soon, this isn't a kami deal, theres no steph behind this, its just run its course for me.


P.S for those who think "oh its monkey doing this shit again" once a new cage head has been selected (if tony and jeff decide to keep the cage) im asking to be removed as mod and banned, like a crack addict, i need this to happen, otherwise i'll die, maybe thats a little too dramatic but i'll probably end up killing someone in frustration.

I have a few suggestions. Rather than post a 1,2, 3 list I'll just daBurg here for a minute.

It's natural to want to see Arab or Jamesn running the cage but I don't think either would accept it. If they would it would be worth the experiment. Bishop comes to mind but he kisses certain peoples ass. A while back it was Ryan Knox, then Kurt Lockwood and Lord knows who's ass it will be next week. The moderator of the monkey cage can't kiss anyones ass.

Nobody is monkey. In my opinion, james arab, and those guys are most valuable as bit players. I also think it's a mistake to hire (is that the right word?) somebody who would feel the need to carry on in monkey fashion (as all of those you named no doubt would) because I believe it would ultimately ring false as clever as those people are. I think what's needed in the absence of monkey is a new direction, a proven individualist amongst all yous, someone of depth and unpredictability and endless interest. This is why I suggest loopnode.

The Cage lives and dies with Monkey. We've seen time and time again what happens to it when he leaves -- it either becomes a landfill or a ghost town. If he does leave (I'll believe it when I see it), there's not a damn thing anyone can do. So, my suggestion is simple: Give Gia the power to ban any spammers and the like and just leave it open. it's been a good, even great run and hell, i've got things in my life that are going to increasingly interfere with being able to post a lot and i've already cut down a fair amount as it is. does that mean if monkey sticks around i'm not going to post? hell no, epsecially if sammura comes back from time to time. nothing beats this place when it's firing on all 8-cylinders for entertainment, but sometimes it's just an issue of nothing being entertaining for a week or two at a time.

Much as I love have2cit, he isn't the man for the job. Have2cit is a pitbull and the Cage needs a border collie. As Jamesn has said, have2cit is the honeybadger of pornboard posters. (Google it yourself).

Loopnode would be an interesting choice to moderate his own forum. An outstanding one, in fact. Maybe the Cage should be mothballed and something new be opened instead.

After a little more thought, shutting it down seems like the right thing to do. There's literally no hope if Monkey splits. Why besmirch the Cage's legacy by continuing with a sub-par leader? Arab and Bornyo are 100% correct.

A lot of good suggestions, and the people who are right for it aren't on enough or don't want the responsibility, but the one guy that does come to mind is monstar. It doesn't have to follow the path its been on to date, it can go in a totally different direction and I feel if monstar wants the job then he could gear it in a more fan friendly way and perhaps getting some of his porn star friends to post in a more friendly atmosphere, promoting his site and they can do the same of whatever they have out, dancing and so on, and the monkey cage isn't that hard to change to the monstar cage. Then again im not sure if he wants to do that but its an idea and means the cage doesn't have to be kept up, it can be a clean break and someone else can take it in a different direction. For all the things ive done for the cage i could never get stormy to post and believe me a few more pairs of tits in this place and i'll be easily forgotten.
