Thanks for your comments. I decided to pull the identifiers, mostly because they were sometimes lazily attached to sets featuring, say, porn stars who weren't really strippers, but stripped once in awhile. A prior editor would occasionally drop a "stripper" identifier on a set because he hadn't used it in a few issues. That seemed stupid and lazy to me. You're the first person to confirm my suspicion that we were actually misleading readers at times. We try hard not to make up shit in the great jackrag tradition of making up shit; the letters are real, the pertinent facts are real, and we don't fictionalize if we don't absolutely have to. (We might have to concoct copy for a really raunchy set featuring European unknowns, but we make sure we don't arbitrarily fake names.) Anyway, I did this in an attempt to not mislead. I hope a lot of readers don't want them back... Thanks again. Your comments and ideas are appreciated. You can always write me at the email address in the masthead.
Charlie, here's an idea. I know that you've got Smut doing your reviews..and his shit is boss. Have you ever thought of doing a fan pick of the month?
NOT a review but just the DVD title or box cover. I see all the letters that fans write to Jill Kelly. Do they ever mention what movies they're watching?
Readers can email you their titles and you pick 1-2 emails each month. Again, the fan pick doesn't need to be a DVD review.
Just a thought
