I knew this more as one of those silly things Jews discuss, like Sandler and his Hannukah song list. I myself did not know that Rosanna Arquette was Jewish until I saw her sitting at her mom's grave in a documentary she did. When I mentioned it among some Jewish women, I came to learn about Scarlett Jo and Maggie Gyllenhaal, among others.

Scarlett - the "shiksa of my dreams" - stunned me quite a bit since she looks like a true Nordic icon.

I have no idea if she practices at all and I would be surprised if she did. But by Jewish law: if your mom is a Jew so are you. And, I don't think der Fueher disagrees.
