Ahh, the playful bliss of youth, toying with concepts they will never fully understand, but latch onto anyway because it represents the anti-authority. When I was little, my next door neighbor's Dad had a huge stack of skin mags. When no one was home, about 10 litle raincoaters from the block would converge and gawk in utter disbelief. We, too, did not fully comprehend the full meaning of the smut we were viewing, we just knew it was nasty, and so did a lot of our mommies and daddies.

Two things strike me about this collection of society's backwash:

1. These little Dirnen (German for "whores") are either very cute and huggable in a Wagnerian sort of way, or disgustingly Goth. I seem to recall the 3rd Reich demanded the purity of a woman's body. They certainly would not have been accepted into the local meeting hall with tattoos, shaven heads and knee-high Doc Martens. They would have been rounded up and shipped off to Buchenwald in favor of a blonde with long flowing hair who wore a dress, made strudel and squirted out babies every 9 months.

2. These whores have a fascination with non-smoking. At its face admirable. But they are trying to latch onto a debateable historical concept that German doctors discovered that cigarette smoking was bad for you, and Nazi's soldiers at one time were prohibited from smoking. Nice start, but they also deplored drinking and jazz music (the "rebellious" music of the time). So I don't think that grabbing a sixer of Heineken (which is Dutch anyway) and listening to your favorite death metal band is quite "Nazi."

And Wotan, Loge, Hagen, the Valkyries, all of them...they die at the end of Götterdämmerung.
