Maybe she is, but I loathe Frederick these days. Back when I was young it still had that small town atmosphere, and one could look for Barbar Freitchie's house. These days it has become commutable from Washington, D.C. and has lost its small town charm. I prefer Harper's Ferry for a day trip, one can park for free on the Maryland Heights side, and cross the Potomac on a pedestrian bridge. Harper's Ferry, Georgetoen, and the Gettysburg and Antietam battlefields are national treasures.
