Exactly. As I see it, with the movie industry's quality of content, ahem, slumping, that loss gets passed along to the consumer in the form of 9 channels simultaneously playing crap flicks. There's a reason no one goes to these movies, and yet we can't escape them.

ok even takeout the 500 PPV channels, as well as all the bullshit public access in korean, iranian, japanese etc etc etc. should leave you 300 channels or so. STILL nothing but 5 MTV channels that dont play one second of music. and 2 women channels playing steel magnolia/stepford wives marathons... luckily theres plenty of streaming porno available via dsl

C-Band was the shit, Even though DirecTV has more choices, they all seem crap to me(although it beats mexican cable, Fucking "novelas")...I remember watching movies like Lethal Weapon, Full Metal Jacket on Viewer´s Choice, First Run too, The Presidio...enjoying shows with Ken Ober(remote control) and Martha Quinn, also Adam Curry on mtv, watching Midnight Madness(David Naughton and a very young Michael J Fox) on HBO over and over again, as well as lost boys...I remember the didi 7 infomercials...donald duck presents on the Disney Channel...also being pretty young back then I remember that fucking nauseating "Facts of life" tune, meaning only one thing no more cartoons on wgn, but then again you could go to the USA network´s Cartoon Express...good times
