Actually, I don't think Flav would've choosen the Asian chick because she didn't make him feel as comfortable as Hoops did. I think he just liked having her around because she was hot but Hoops was his comfort zone.
I can't figure why he would ever have wanted New York around except the producers told him to leave someone who would bring some conflict to the show.
