On March 5, 2000, french porn star Lolo Ferrari was found dead. Years later, it is still undetermined whether she committed suicide, accidentally overdosed or was a victim of plastic surgery complications.

LoLo had a troubled childhood with an abusive mother and a father who was never there: "My mother was always very unhappy with my father. My father was this macho guy who was never there and deceived her openly. So she revenged herself on me. She told me I was revolting too, that no one would ever want me. She hit me sometimes with a riding crop. I was frightened and I was ashamed; I wanted to change my face, my body, to transform myself. I wanted to die, really."

At tender age 17, she met a producer who was 39 and was charmed by his power and what seemed to be her only way ouf of the life she'd despised so much. Not long after, she became a well known porn star. She started undergoing numerous plastic surgeries. She had her face lifted, her eyes reshaped, her lips thickened, a series of silicone injections that made her breats stand over 71 inches, and a record-setting (according to the Guinness Book of World Records) weight of 26 pounds. In addition to her fame as a porn star in Europe, she also made numerous appearances in nightclubs and on late-night TV, released a single called "Air Bag Generation". While she hadn't had much exposure in the US, plans were underway for her entry into that market when she was found dead on March 5, 2000, by her husband in their French Riviera home. It was known that she suffered from chronic depression, and her husband stated that not long before her death she had visited a funeral home inquiring about arrangements.
