Why do porn stars need to jerk off?

Has anyone noticed that most porn made in the 90's and later have their male porn stars jerking off before cumming? This is in contrast with porn made in the 70's and 80's where most of them didn't need to jerk off in order to get the money shot. Usually, they just have intercourse with the female porn stars and when they are about to cum, they pull out and then cum outside. I mean if they had no problem cumming then why do they have difficulty problem now? Why the Change?

Jim Holliday pointed out that "in the old days" [time not specified] the moment the guy's pants opened, his dick popped out rock-hard and ready for action.
That was then, this is now.
Maybe because it's a job now, maybe it's overwork, maybe it was a bad day/week/month/scene/whatever. But there is a lot more of it now than there used to be, that's for sure.
Or maybe they don't edit it out now.

The basic fact in all of this is .... this business is built less on kicks than it is on profit. So no matter how you make it happen, you got to make it happen, or you will not have any more work. It's all about the benjamins. Sex scenes are pumped out like clockwork and that's all anybody cares about. Your pleasure is at the bottom of the list of priorities producers have.

more for the girls its about chemistry, the others are distant, unfeeling (aka- on something).....remember the guys are just props....producers could care less...its kida sad if they want such a spectacular scene..........you would think there would be time for a rehearsal...
