I don't watch horror films. I find them boring and pointless.
But mentioning Wolf Creek, which I assume is the Awstrayan film, those awwwcees, man, they are so whack.
There where ppl being physically ill, shaking and sobbing uncontrollably during and after the film, having nightmares for weeks, being unable to leave the house etc. so I'm told.
So maybe go see it if you get the chance.

"Tesis" by Alejandro Amenabar, he directed "The Others"(crappy) and "Open Your Eyes" the original Vanilla sky. Anyways "Tesis" is so much better and scarier than "8mm", they´re both based on the snuff film industry...very lucrative one I might add..."Tesis" is a spanish film

All fucking cliché. And Carrie appears twice. And I don´t see any eurohorror in that list. And FREAKS isn´t even an horror movie per se, meaning you haven´t even watched it. You don´t know shit about horror.

how about a top ten of new horror films, Cleetus? Stuff after 2000. Most new horror flicks suck ass. thus far, this would be my list of top ten new horror films: 1. Hostel 2. The Ring 3. Cabin Fever 4. High Tension 5. Dawn of the Dead (2004) 6. Wolf Creek 7. Saw 8. Frailty 9. Open Water 10. Exorcism of Emily Rose

There have been some truly awful movies listed. I hate to be a movie snob, but if you think The Ring is scary or "horror", you either have a vagina, or you have little to compare it to. Maniac is great. Spinell is fuckin' freaky. The subway bathroom scene alone should be studied by the current crop of tardball horror/music video directors. Less is always more from a photographic standpoint in slasher films. Frailty is great too, but I don't consider it horror at all. Paxton nailed his directorial debut. I'm actually fond of the Dawn of the Dead remake as well, though it's not nearly as good as the original. I've recommended Living Hell to a few friends and each said they liked it and that it creeped them out. Definetly worth a rent if you can find it. Here's a trailer. aww take it with a grain of salt... Frank & Bride are not scary, but they are what i feel some of the best.
Jaws & Psycho, I guess would lean more to the "Thriller" side of things but they scared me the most, when i was a kid...and i can still appreciate them.
side note: I actually met Caroline Munro of Maniac. I already had a thing for her from her Hammer Movies "Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter" & "Dracula A.D. 1972". Even now she is still pretty hot.

Shawn of the Dead to the list.Its more funny than scary but a great movie nonetheless.
Funniest shit ever...the whole LP throwing thing was hilarious, the monkey impression by the fat guy was funny too
The Blonde Girl from the Office(uk version) has a part in Shawn...has anybody watched both versions of The Office, I´ve only seen the uk version and thought it was brilliant, but I´ve heard good things about the us version

thats the prob with J-horror flicks, loop. They have fantastic concepts and twistedly creepy visuals, but the films are beyond boring. They're so slowly paced. maybe it's to create anguish, but for my on-the-go meth-addicted lifestyle, i need rollercoaster pacing! thats why i favor the american remakes. it's like bukkake. sure the jap version is interesting, but the American Bukkake is far more disturbing  . also, Shaun of the Dead is a fucking classic in much the same way the Evil Dead series is.

I've got one word for the us version of The Office...GREATNESS. It's one of the funniest shows on main stream TV...Next to Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Family Guy...
Fox ran the last 4 episodes of Arrested Development last weeked. On a Friday night (weak man..weak) I don't think they're going to pick up another season of the show.
Never fear...I hear Showtime is looking at the series. So they can kill it just like Dead Like Me
Anyway, the Office (us version)= Mayor McCheese...
btw...new episodes of The Venture Brothers start in June.

appreciate the info karma, definitely going to get the us version...the thing I really dig about the office uk is that Ricky Gervais writes, directs and performs as the main character... as far as arrested development goes, I have season 1...I rank it up there with seinfeld and curb your enthusiasm...Arrested Dev. season 2 hasn´t been released here in Mexico...
