The Andre turn was pretty big, as was the Orndorff one. But the all time heat getter was Terry Gordy slamming a steel cage door on Kerry von Erich's head during a world title match with Ric Flair in '82. It touched off the hottest feud of the 80's, Von Erichs vs. The Freebirds.

Hogan's turn was historic as it was his first big run as a heel in ages. My personal favorite was the double turn at WM 14 involving Bret Hart and Steve Austin leading to the following night on RAW and Bret's famous line "And to all my American fans......I apologize for NOTHING!"

this is gonna sound gay...but I dont remember the Freebirds vs. Von Erichs feud. I was around in '82. Was that in Mid South???...it had to have been. I guess all I watched back then was AWA...Jerry Blackwell and Mad Dog Vachon had some classics...Midnight Rockers vs. Buddy Rose and Doug Summers was good too...fuck 'n A...Im drunk and bored...
