"When we closed out the last trial which was about 9 days, they asked the jury what they thought," Max continues. "They said they were irreparably deadlocked, 6 to 6. It looked to me, the way I was reading it- her face and her statements to the judge- that she had resigned herself to defeat. She said, well I think if we had presented our case a little bit differently, that we may be able to get a conviction. To that effect. Much to everyone's amazement in the courtroom, Judge Kellogg said we're going to let it go, if you guys want to re-file it, you can. He had the ability to end it right there but he didn't. He passed the ball on that one."

Meanwhile, Max said he was amazed to see that Max Extreme 7 earned an obscenity conviction against Cincinnati video store owner Shawn Jenkins. "It was good, wholesome, All-American story about a woman selling cookies so that her girl scouts could go to summer camp," says Max. "I bought a whole case for crissake." But the question is, was it a love story ala Skeeter Kerkove?
