Actually I agree with you. The problem is that there are too few competent directors, and it's a lot easier to be a George Carlin shocking people than to actually be good at arousing them. The economics in the industry are also terrible for doing more than a few "big-budget" Ninn productions each year (the rental model is a disaster for porn).

You've got to have a really good imagination to enjoy most of today's porn.
