So did anyone hear any juicy rumors at the show?

Everhard's complaint sounds like fairly ordinary charge that RLD shipped his product off the books, without paying royalty. That ought to be fairly straightforward to show if true: you find out, for example, how many empty DVD cases were shipped to RLD from suppliers and compare that to the totals on the royalty statements all of the directors received. There'd a little more to check for whether or not the payments RLD got from sales was incompletely reported but that's what accountants are for.

So, who's still at RLD and likely to stay there?

Everhard went to Evil Angel, Vince Voyeur to Wicked (Voyeur's press release sounds fancier, but it seems to me like it's just ego massaging and Wicked owns and controls the new company).

But what about PXP? Have any of them left? It's hard to believe problems at RLD aren't happening at PXP too. Has anyone left PXP?

Malone Leaves Red Light District, Joins Evil Angel

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Director Jake Malone has left Red Light District to pursue a contract with Evil Angel Productions. David Joseph, Red Light District president, confirmed Malone’s exit from Red Light, telling AVN.com “we will no longer be distributing Jake Malone’s films...he’s done.”



“[Malone] is just another director that we made a name for and loaned money to, and helped throughout his career. We won’t be doing any more distribution deals with directors, but if Evil Angel wants to do that, that’s their business.”

Joseph went on to say that “we’ll sign another director today, and we’ll be signing more great directors in the future…and [companies] will probably try to steal them away from us too. But those are the kinds of things you need to deal with when you’re a top company.”

Karen Stagliano, who handles public relations at Evil Angel Productions, told AVN.com that "Evil Angel is happy to be the current and future distributor of Jake Malone Productions. Jake will now own his products and Evil Angel will distribute them."

Malone said that he was "happy with what Red Light District has done for me, but I look forward to continuing to put out great titles at Evil Angel."

Malone had been with Red Light District for the past three years, and has recently directed such hardcore titles as Cum Fart Cocktails 3 and Me Love You Long Time 8 for the company.

Has Mike John signed a deal with anyone yet? What about Kylie Ireland?

The Evil Angel annex of Red Light is allmost complete..
