I sincerely congratulate all (OK, most of) this year's AVN Award Winners! Especially the 'individual' performers such as Katja, McKenzie Lee, Audrey Hollander, Katsumi, Scott Nails and Steve Holmes .. WTG! And I'm glad, although honestly not surprised, that AVN 'recognized' John Stagliano for bringing "Fashionistas" to the stage.

FUCK YEAH BABY! Ashley and Joey fuckin' rock! I, personally, don't think they need the AVN 'creds' to help 'em any .. Their loyal fans will keep these series striving through 2006 and beyond (hopefully!).

But this list of winners seemes ridiculously long and simply reinforces my notion that the Awards are nothing more than a way for AVN to "Thank" their advertisers!

I mean .. C'mon! Does there honestly need to be eight 'Specialty' catagories?! They don't break-down the genre that specifically in their publication. Is AVN scared they might upset one of their advertisers amongst the 'Specialty' genre?

"Best Fem-Dom Strap-On"?!! Shouldn't this award have been presented at the GayVN Awards? I don't remember seeing an award for best "Bisexual" title amongst the list. And awarding the best "MILF" release and not the 'Best MILF' [performer] doesn't make sense to me. But I guess it's just me.

Oh yeah! This did 'wonders' for Mary's career and popularity last year! lol Again, I don't remember any of her titles being mentioned amongst the winners .. or nominees for that matter.

Top Selling Title of the Year
1 Night in China, Red Light District

This award should have been accompanied with "Title of 2005 with the Most Copies Still Sitting on Video Store Shelves"! Our friends, who own a few local (Tampa area) video stores, can't 'give these things away' .. at Cost!! I'd say, give RLD the award for 'Best Marketing' of a Has-Been Pro Wrestler (with a small penis as a clit) .. and I've only seen the boxcover! lol

I could easily go-on picking this list apart, but I'd much rather spend the rest of my evening reading what my fellow XPTers have to say on more important topics.
