Superpants ADT regular Registered: 12/30/05 Posts: 7	in the united states, can porn be filmed everywhere, or just in california? is filming on public land (even if it's really far in the woods) considered indecent exposure?

But I have rarely heard of anyone being prosecuted outside LA, but it DOES happen. Permits in LA on really based on where you are shooting. But the simple answer is yes, but most people dont get them since you would then have to inform all your neighbors that you like to film adult content. This might not be applicable to movies were the producer and talent are one in the same.I dont know of any other jurisdiction were filming adult content is legal. before you consider filming content, get a lawyer that knows the business side of this, not just 1st Amendment issues. if you are going to shoot in LA, there are so many issues you have to be aware of. its easy to make a mistake that can be quite serious legally. You're referring to the Freeman case, right? That was appealed to the state supreme court; was that appeal denied or was it heard and found for Freeman? Freeman (1988) [46 Cal.3d 419] It is a California Supreme Court case, but I dont think it made it up any further to the US Supreme Court.
