Um never heard of that beer. We don't get a lot of US beers here, and they're usually sold as boutique beers and therefore very $$$$. Millers and Bud are the two big sellers, about the only two US beers sold in large retailers cheapish by the slab. About $50AU a slab. Other US imports aren't that cheap, and not that common, and might go for like $4AU a bottle or something.

I might make an effort to lash out and get some US beers by the bottle if I can find some. Samuel Adams, that's US right? My bro used to drink that like it was going out of fashion. And it was like $100AU a case.

VB can actually taste different believe it or not. Like in different parts of Australia they have special water imitation plants to make their water taste like Victorian water to put in the VB.

Like now we have heaps of "imported" beers made under licence here. End result -> tastes like shit and nothing like the import.

I've drunk cases of VB, its pretty much the beer most ppl drink, and I can't say its the drink I'd drink by choice if I had a choice. Its a low-brow mass-market type beer. Like I guess Coors or something in the US. Like its better than some local stuff, but certainly not boutique by any stretch of the imagination, particuarly if its in cans not bottles.


I'd be interested if there were actually any Aussie beers u could get in the states. Fosters is complete dog piss, and I don't know a single Australian who drinks it. In fact I can't even remember seeing it in a store here.
