Damn, I voted for Our Lips Are Sealed before I looked up and listened to that Animotion song on Yahoo Music. I had never heard of it before. There is no way that kid was listening to the Go Go's when he could have been to Animotion in that picture.

My opinion, Cosmic Dancer misses the blatant emo rockin' issues in that picture. I refuse to believe the same band that did Bang a Gong is emo. Cosmic Dancer is just some early heavy metal ballad that has some kind of waltzy feel to it. Sal is not waltzing in there.

Song I thought of when I first saw that picture in the other thread was that one-hit-wonder song Blue (Da Bee Da) that made the charts a couple of years ago. Imagine keyboards that sound like a pogo stick bouncing up and down while singing:

It's not listed that way in the lyrics, but that da ba dee ba die... cleary sounds like "I'm in need of a guy". But, it's bouncy so that maybe, so that you can play it on mainstream radio, they mask it so it sounds like "i'm da ba dee ba die...". The chorus is where he keeps singing this one line. It is easily the most homosexual song I ever heard, reminiscent of fags you meet that do not just act normal. But, actually adopt a feminine accent and limp their wrists.

I might have heard it, I don't pay much attention when it's not something I like. But I know, I'm out of touch with popular music since I got out of school. Most of the sleepy bars I hang out in play classic rock. I don't know how many times I can listen to Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" in one lifetime and be expected to get any enjoyment out of it. I've got to find an easy way to find more recent music I like...

Depending on the status of the boy's daily Ritalin shot, this picsong screams either "Venus" by Bananarama, or "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles. Yeah, don't deny it. At least once in your life, maybe late at night in the privacy of your darkened bedroom with the Walkman headphones tightly over your ears, you didn't jump out of bed and do the King Tut ala Steve Martin to this song. And when that midget bass player that everyone wanted to bang atarted whistling the bridge, don't even begin to say you didn't join right in...maybe a little quieter, but yeah, you joined in.
