I make ten friggin bucks an hour 1300 bucks a month doing crappy security outside in the cold. We dont get ot, no medical or dental. And the biggest problem is its not challenging at all.
I have a BA; psychology and criminology diploma. Problem is in 99 when i graduated i had a criminal record. I got a pardon in 2004. Still, this screwed up my university crap since i couldnt do practicuums(but then again psychology is useless)
Problems im facing is psychology is useless.
Returning to school is not an option: I got debt reduction(22k knocked off my loans) and the agreement is i cant get more loans till i pay the balance off--still owe 8k
I also owe 2400 on my backrent--since I had a criminal record and couldnt get work (i had zero income) I ended up borrowing money for rent and to keep my loans up to date.
I have no savings since i couldnt find work with my lowsy criminal record since i graduated
Not sure what to do--I know for sure i dont want to work with retards or kids in the psych area. My personality isnt really conducive to working with other people--i like to do stuff by myself(or with charmaine
I really dont think ill ever get a gov job so im not going to try to be a cop, or spend 5k wasting my time being a prison guard. I cant even see myself doing this crap--i hate being in the security field. I feel like a robot.
I really dont see any future in the psych field due to massive cutbacks nor do i see any future in the criminal justice field since all the jobs are gov. controlled
I'd like to get into something but getting my training paid for isnt an option. The security company i work for doesnt lay off its workers cause they are so cheap. So this means i cant get the gov. to pay for any of my unemployment training.
Im looking for a shorterm solution.
I know im so stupid my career was right under my nose my whole life. I should have been a physio, occ therapist, dietitian, trainer or even a radiology tech--I mean i use to play sports till i bled, sleep in my hockey equipment, skip school just to read the stats, workout, boxing, weights, bike ride, jog--shit, i never thought of this when i was making my career choice i just thought about the shit i had to go through when i was cracked out and wanting to help other people (all that crack screwed me up)
Now the only shit i go through is persistent problems finding work with this degree and multi--student loans problems(try telling the bank you have zero income and live in a shelter-i swear 13 times i had to write them just to tell em i had zero income and would be a little late borrowing money to keep my loans in good standing)
ps; and porn isnt an option--im good looking with a good build but down there hehe isnt what it should be
