Totally agreed, I perhaps didn't word that very well. What I meant, is that for TV networks, importing shows like Everybody Loves Raymond is a much cheaper option than developing a local show. So they buy imports, and screen them. Now, Everybody Loves Raymond was a very successful program down here, so of course they are going to keep showing the show. My point in being force fed was even if you don't like such shows and believe them to be shithouse, a lot of Australians are watching them, meaning they will continue to be shown. The fact that they are American is irrelevant to the fact that they are bad.
