Chasey Lain Overdosed In Venetian Hotel At AVN Expo

Chasey Lain's real name is Tiffany Jones or Tiffany Case (after she got married).
Chasey Lain was found near death in the Venetian. Adult Video News doesn't want that detail revealed in case the Venetian does not want AVN and its porn shows back next year.
Chasey Lain was discharged from the hospital at 4PM Sunday. She was not held on a suicide watch nor does it appear that there are any charges pending or even an intent to indict.
I wonder how many porn stars like Chasey would have to die before video companies like Vivid Video and the industry's dominant trade publication and convention host, start telling the truth about drugs in porn.
I believe AVN publisher and editor Tim Connelly would call me irresponsible for reporting this drug overdose in the Venetian. "Responsibility" in the AVN mindset would be saying how wonderful the AVN Awards were while a porn superstar lies at death's door.
So what have been Tim Connelly's chief accomplishments?
* Brought Rob Black and Extreme Associates back in the fold.
* Got rid of Bill Lyon from Free Speech Coalition and replaced him with Kat Sunlove. Scott Tucker has resigned. Bill Margold has been tossed the FSC board.
* Tried to cover-up Chasey Lain story.
* Forced all porn stars to test for STDs at only one place -- the clinic of his former lover Sharon Mitchell.
AVN has known about Chasey's overdose for almost two days. So what do they use to headline their site for the past day? This report: "The 21st Annual AVN Awards: Glamour, Prestige, Fun. It was a night of fun, laughs, and lots of sexy women, as well as a night when the adult entertainment industry celebrated its finest achievements of the previous... Day 3 at AEE the Wildest So Far"
Yes, AVN, day three was every bit as wild as you intimate -- Chasey Lain almost died of a mixture of cocaine, heroin and alcohol. I know how much AVN loves to promote that "wild" image of porn. Well, there it is. Almost death. Very wild. Put in the headline.
One of porn's best known stars almost dies of a drug overdose, after years of drug problems, and AVN is still scratching itself on the back about how fun the AVN Awards were.
This isn't just a weird exception in AVN's approach to journalistic coverage of porn. Back-scratching always takes precedence at the industry trade over reporting.
If it had its way, AVN would never report on this overdose and many other painful topics, but now it will be forced to do so by this site. I wonder how long until AVNGossip.com goes online to deal with some of these matters?
I wonder why a classy joint like the Venetian would want porn conventions if porners are going to do a bunch of drugs, damage their suites, spread diseases, wear obscene t-shirts and jackets, and otherwise frighten the polite citizens of the otherwise wholesome casino?
Lukeford.com was covering Chasey Lain in tragic detail in 2001. AVN published denials from her in the summer of 2001 that she was just fine and had no drug problem. AVN acted as an enabler for Chasey, as it has done for years for drugged-out disease-spreading porners, many of them with active ties to organized crime. This girl has verged on the dead for three years now because of her drug abuse. And how did her company in 2001, when she killing herself from drugs, handle it? Vivid Video denied she had a problem. They said I was lying. AVN in the summer of 2001 did the same thing.
This is typical how our industry leaders deal with life-threatening problems like AIDS and drugs and the like. They deny them. They cover them up. They lie about them. They pour hatred and threats upon the messenger of bad news.
It is not AVN and Vivid's responsibility to keep Chasey Lain alive or drug-free. They do have a responsibility not to lie about one of their girls having a life-threatening drug addiction that threatens not only her life, but those of all those around her, including her child.
MikeSouth.com broke this story on Sunday with this report: "This one is confirmed but nobody knows who it is. A Chick wearing a badge that said Tiffany Case was taken to the hospital this morning, she was found in a coma with a blood alchohol level of 3.4, she had Heroin and Cocaine in her system and on her person. She is not expected to live. If you know who this person is or might be PLEASE contact me at 678-245-xxxx. The badge had not been activated by having a photo taken so it could have been given to anyone."

AVN ranked her as the 49th biggest porn star of all time in a recent issue. If you believed her reporting, Chasey had no drug problem.

For us fans, it's just another reason why these chicks, whose on-screen performances were lackluster, should just go away. There are other nicer, more punctual porn stars who put these washed-ups to shame.

Chasey Lain took a year off to raise her newborn son Thomas. She is now under contract with Vivid. Chasey's working out now to tone up her body. She will soon come out with her own line of videos marketed through Vivid.

A few days ago I reported that Vivid Video wanted to bring Chasey Lain out of retirement and give her her own series.
Vivid shot Chasey in a movie a month ago.
I hear that Chasey Lain is addicted to crystal methamphetamine. She weighs about 70 pounds, her bones are poking out through her skin, her eyes are bugging out of her head, her face is sunken in and her skin is hanging off of her. She looks like she has been in a concentration camp. Her boyfriend husband Anthony makes crystal and sells it. They have a toddler at home. Chasey burned down her bedroom a few weeks ago, probably when her crack pipe caught fire.
I hear Chasey is turning tricks. A friend met her and said it is like looking at a dying person. Two industry friends saw her recently and said she will be dead within the month. She is cracked out of her mind. She was offered help but she is beyond that, she claims that she does not have a problem.
Chasey has begged certain video company owners to help her out financially. She has lost everything, her cars were even impounded. An acquaintance offered to put her into rehab and that is the last he heard from her.
Vivid is using Chasey in a new series, they filmed her about four weeks ago so they are completely aware of her problem. They need to spend the money getting her into rehab rather than giving it to her to buy more drugs. Members of the crew on her set said it was so sad watching her, that is was like fucking a dying person.

Vivid Girls Intervene With Chasey Lain
XXX says: Vivid girls Raylene and Taylor Hayes went to Chasey Lain's house about a week ago to stage an intervention. Lain's been smoking speed than snorting heroin to come down from the speed. She has a three year old son with this guy Anthony, her boyfriend. Raylene and Taylor asked Anthony, a drug dealer, what he wanted to do about the situation. He was nonchalant. He said she was beyond help. The kid wasn't there.
Apparently, a week ago, Chasey took her kid out on the street and told him that he was worthless, that she hated him and that he was the Devil's child. And left him on the street.
And in his daycare, he was so high from the fumes of her smoking the speed that they called Child Protective Services when he started coming down from his high. A director in the adult business now looks after the boy.
The police came and arrested Chasey. She's in jail and they're trying to get her into a rehab clinic.
Chasey was so high that she was telling Taylor that she would kill her. Lain took a hammer and started beating herself with the hammer.
Chasey's been turning tricks for $100 a pop or in exchange for drugs.

I've heard a report from Las Vegas from a man who partied with a strung out Chasey Lain. She's evidently out of jail and is still avoiding treatment for her drug addiction.

A Dark Day For The Industry

As is always the case when keeping good company, the giggling and laughter echoed through that restaurant to excess as we waited for our plane to depart. Then the enemy, looking on, sees a community that will not let it's weak and it's weary be devoured by misfortune or chaotic happenstance and perhaps one day, the adult industry will be given the respect that so many of you feel it deserves. Until then, there's something here that's misshapen, ugly, bad and needs to die.
It's a sad commentary that many of us seem to put ourselves and each other through more hell than the religious right could ever hope to. Lighten up on each other...we all get old...we all experience crisis from time to time..we all make complete fools of ourselves at least once. In the small microcosm that is the adult entertainment world, how sad that anyone in need is met only with ridicule and criticism rather than literally dozens of people stepping forward with open arms. It's quickly becoming something that I, and probably this country, can live without. Chasey, hopefully, will make it through this, and will then be in an excellent position to re-evaluate friendships, career choices and her life in general. May she be blessed. I did ask the people at Vivid, I did ask Kelli, she even let me talk to Taylor Hayes, (because Kelli [owner of EroticVideos.com] knows how much I love Chasey and how much this breaks my heart) which by the way is who you said told you that Chasey was a cracking smoking whore who got arrested and well - Taylor tells a different story. In fact Taylor Hayes laughed (just as Kelli did before) when I asked her about all of this --- so hmmmmmmm.... again I must ask - if you all say it is true - then where my friends can we find so much as one tiny piece of actual evidence - no here say but ACTUAL EVIDENCE.

Chasey Lain Says She's Not Addicted To Drugs

Porn biz is pathetic when it comes to drugs - I never knew it was this bad. It's nothing like other industries, it's probably 3 times as worse. AVN can't do much about the problem but Luke is right, as the bible of the industry and one who has made millions off the little mental patients who make the porn world turn they should not bury the story of the drug problem and STD problem in the biz.
The truth is normal girls do not fuck on video for money. Not many anyway. They're messed up and lazy and it's all about the money. And almost always a piece of shit boyfriend behind the scenes.
