Ugh, please don't give the slightest credence to Skeeter's demented ramblings on Baldy's "news" page. If this were true, people wouldn't get divorced: they'd just go straight to jail. Because I've seen dozens, literally dozens, of false charges in which DCFS (as the baby nappers are called here) investigated but found nothing. Among other things, a lack of evidence of abuse does not equal a false report. More often than not, the offending party is not trying to get the other thrown in jail, though that'd be cool if it happened, but wave the papers around at custody hearings.

Skeeter has, at best, a claim for defamation, though he better get on the ball as California has a 1 year statute of limitations, and trying to change jurisdiction (Florida is popular for their 2 year statute of limitations, Arkansas for 3... hard to tell Clinton was governor there, no?) would probably get it squashed on the first motion to dismiss, as none of them to my knowledge maintain a residency there and it'd be quite hard to go fishing with this case. Skeeter is, however, legally impossible to defame, as is she. So what do you have?
