Over the entire life of that forum there has been only 1 (one) reply, and that was but a single word.

If they've already shot the footage then an HIV+ won't necessarily mean they have to junk all of the scenes. It will cause some loss but not the entire $40k investment.

Knowingly hiding an HIV situation on the other hand will cost more. At best the studio risks being being blacklisted by all of the top talent or their agents. At worst, if it turns into a public mess, distributors might become unhappy and demand lower prices for carrying that studio's product or might drop them entirely.
