LONDON (AP) - An Eminem fan who beat a female law student to death and stuffed her body in a suitcase is facing life in prison.
With the same hair color, clothing style and tattoos of the American rapper, Christopher Duncan, 21, pleaded guilty Thursday to killing Jagdip Najran, 26, a law student and aspiring singer.
Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw said Najran, who studied at London Metropolitan University, met Duncan at a karaoke bar last year and was smitten with him after watching him perform.
Duncan took Najran back to his apartment May 13, beating her over the head with an iron baseball bat until she fell unconscious. He then stuffed her body into a suitcase and left the apartment.
Medical experts testified she stayed alive for at least an hour after being struck.
Duncan reportedly told police he was high on Ecstasy and LSD at the time of the killing.
In Eminem's music video of the song ``Stan,'' an obsessive fan ties up his girlfriend, throwing her in the trunk of his car and driving it over a bridge.
Judge David Paget is due to sentence Duncan on Monday.
A call to Eminem's publicist in Los Angeles was not immediately returned.
