floof-i'd read that about joey. hod was basically a powerful idea with average-execution. i've always felt the movie was one of the reasons movies are worth watching when done well-just the fucking ride of the valk. with the helicopters taken by itself is art. i don't know "film" and don't really have the time to at this point, but i've never seen music that effectively used in anything before that and that's just a fraction of what made that flick good. it's probably the best thing i've seen in the last 30-years that sold copies/tickets/books/cds in volume, whatever medium you're looking at. writing's dead, good music doesn't sell, and for the most part every year's "it" movies suck.
