Exactly who is everyone angry with in this situation? Is it the individual who has the hiv infected girlfiriend, is it the companies that hire him(knowing full well his situation) is it the other performers who still choose to work with him(thus putting everyone else at a higher risk).
Why dont I see any anger pointed in the direction of those who still hire this guy. They are the ones who are increasing the risk for everyone. Do these compamies let the other talent(possibly newbies in the biz) know of this guys situation. (I bet NOT!!!)
Will other talent refuse to work for the companmies that hire him, will they refuse to work with performers who work with him, or will there be nothing but empty words on a chatboard with NO ACTION to back them up. This is another great opportunity for the talent in this industry to say we're not gonna take this crap anymore, but its alot easier to just do nothing and HOPE "it" doesn't happen again.
I've read alot of ASHLEY's posts on this board and she always seems to speak her mind. Maybe she will step up and saY "I'm not working for or with anyone that uses this guy"
If it is not true that this individual is doing this then I offer my apologies. If it is true then the TALENT in this industry needs to do something to protect themselves form those who are willing to put them at such a heightened risk.

Who is to blame here?
1) The companies who hire this guy(who know full well of his situation, and probably dont inform the other performers)
2) The talent who continue to work with this guy?
3) The agents and 'managers" who continue to book their talent to work with this guy?
4) This individual himself who could care less about the risk he is putting others at.
5) And of course when all logic fails the blame can then be put on AIM and Saharon Mitchell.
When will the agents stand up and say "We are not going to book our talent with anyone who works with or for this guy?"
Are any agents, production companies, or talent willing to take a stand here? Unfortunately the answer is probably no.

Actually, I have to admit that Melba Blue's trolling did more to get that particular thread locked then WMP's "scud". But looking over the post itself, it's written in a completely accusatory tone, and ends with "checking out" as in "this is what I have to say, goodbye". So it wasn't off to a good start, but Melba was the one who sunk that particular boat.
And yeah, I'm personally not into the fanboi-mentality that many seem to have, but then they're not hurting anyone either. Same goes with the innumerable threads on DAP or what have you. /shrug
But hey, if you think ADT blows dead dogs, that's fine but there's nothing that says you have to post there either...

And Lo, that ended a string of HIV infections that had gone on for a year.
At the point of time of the ADT posts you already had industry participants on record on the issue in addition to whatever Luke posted: why not encourage other talent to ask questions? Isabel Ice is not well served by being told "nothing to see here; move along". You would be doing Isabel a favor to leave the thread open and asking "Orange Paddy" to carefully explain how the risks affect her, and suggesting that Isabel call or email friends to see what's up. Few seem to understand the parameters of the medical risks the talent take; situations like this are an opportunity to clear up those issues.
Ignorance is not bliss here, and prohibiting discussion on these thing falls firmly in the “encouraging ignorance†category.

I'll grant you that my choice of words when locking the "Hell on Wheels" thread may not have been the best, but when the poster is clearly trolling then I'm not one to give the benefit of the doubt.
I don't have a particular dislike of Luke or anything, but I know he posts anything that anyone tells him, so when someone who is clearly trolling quotes Luke as his source, I'll tend to take it with a bucket of salt. In this case, I'm guilty of judging Luke's page guilty by association with who was quoting it.
I'm not sure what you're talking about with regard to Isabel Ice asking questions and "Orange Paddy"? I've been offline for a couple of hours just now. I don't see any problems with people talking about the Shane Diesel situation on any relevent web board, and as I said earlier today, helpme's posts, on this board and in this thread are a great example of talking about the issue rationally without trolling.
I certainly think that Isabel's post in the Hell on Wheels thread is extremely naive at best, and I'd expect anyone in the industry with more than a few brain cells to be asking their agents and producers a shitton of serious questions and asking each other who they've worked with.
I just checked ADT, and Drew has started a thread where people are welcome to post on the topic as adults. I welcome anyone from XPT who's interested enough (and can post without trolling and snipes to the website) to discuss the issue, as I can't see any problems with people discussing the Shane Diesel issue maturely.

I never knew what ADT was until I came here, believe it or not, so I went to ADT a while back to check it out. I lurked for a bit and thought it was shite. I think I only posted twice about some random bullshit. It's a bit like that other flowery board, freeones (and don't get me started on that).
At least at XPT, the members call it how they see it, and in my mind that’s the best way. It’s more of laugh here, and less fucking serious than ADT. I'm sure even the whores like it better here than ADT. I'm really glad that the higbrows over at ADT have decided to have an "adult" discussion of this. While they split hair after hair after hair, no one has bothered to demand the obvious: Shane, do you copulate with your wife? If so, what forms of protection to do you use? What are the most recent results of your HIV tests? And in typical ADT style, the whores are represented by the least intelligent in the group: Isabel Ice and Katja Fatass. They seem to abhor the idea of invading on someone's personal life, then decry the lack of investigation done into this subject. Get a damn brain and fire it up. Nice job, ADT. Willie, I think it's being treated pretty shitty all the way around, here and at ADT.
I dunno- if it was something affecting my career/health/life/well-being I'd be a little more engaged than the talent seems to be but on the other hand it's hard for me to get outraged if they aren't.
I have the feeling that a LOT of the performers are reading these threads and making mental notes to themselves to avoid shooting with the bubble-headed, Buster Douglas looking motherfucker.
