Everybody tries to be something. And when you try to be something, it generally requires at least a little bit of effort.

Example: Keiko's hair. Are you saying she didn't try to do that? That it wasn't a calculated decision? That it took no effort to accomplish that horrifying hairdo? And would she be ostracized by friends for not looking like a freak if she didn't do it?

I think the answers are obvious.

Now I'm no different. I try to be a relatvively clean cut guy, so I purchase clothing made by Diesel, Lucky Brand, Banana Republic, Armani, etc. As you can see, I put effort into not looking like a low-life asshole.

People are who they are because they choose to be that way. We find what works best for us and go with it.

Sorry Robby, you're not part of a movement and your style/sub-culture is not important. Except for dealing with more finger pointing and snickering than most, you're just like everyone else.
