Fine, if she wasn't an employee, she wasn't. What the hell are you getting so pissed off about?
There are employee's rights laws that prohibit an employer from trashing a terminated employee. I believe in CA, if you call someone's former employer, they may only release your job title, salary history, dates of employment, whether or not you left voluntarily, and whether you are eligible for rehire. Anything more than that can be considered harrasment, and thus a legal liability for the employer.
The whores are contractors, they are not employees of the production company (typically).
And left's face it, if you've been fired, payback may be on your mind.
