Neither (and please don't dig in about 'I don't have the right to comment)...
...I work with a handful of stubborn fucking Marines as it is, and they're wired to think they are right all the time. This doesn't apply to all Marines, just the ones I work with (and most I've encountered on a personal level).
I hate authority, and my own levels of discipline to aspire towards. I would have wound up punching someone out for drilling me the way they do in the military.
While jobless 3 years ago, every time a recruiter came up to me, I told them I wasn't interested unless it was in X vocation, I'm not interested in them placing me where they want. Afterward, I found out that X vocation is likely handled by military contractors anyway.
If it meant they were going to kill me, fine, that cover-up is on them.
