That's legalese for the twins were charged with a crime (wire fraud, perhaps, check kiting?) and then settled out of court by paying restitution to the victimized parties that satisfied all of those involved.
Could be that they were the ones who filed suit. I saw an interview with one of the twins where they were seeking damages from the Milton Twins site owner(s) who they believed ripped them off by not living up to the contract.
The only recent "criminal" trouble I know of didn't involve either of the Twins but instead a spouse of a Twin. IIRC and all goes well, the ex-Marine hubby should be rejoining his half of the set in June.
