Actually, I don't think porn will go anywhere. Just like mainstream film, pornography has taken a drastic backstep and now relies on a formula of churning out the same series in order to ensure its lifespam (i.e. Title Vol 1, 2, 3 etc).
The whole degrading scheme is all fun and good (believe me i enjoy it) but then it gets tedious just like any warm milk and in the end, you end up not pleasing the clientele who will forever be requesting harder material. Remember, you are dealing with a society of animals- a new world that is driven by gluttony.
My friend takes pictures where he uses the same formula. Sometimes the girls are abused, beaten, crucified etc (i posted some in previous posts) but I have encouraged him to change his apporach and use a more creative method of degredation otherwise he falls into the same cesspool other 10 million pornographers currently crowd themselves into. Remember, anyone can pickup an XL3 and start shooting their own gonzo flick, but try seperating the sasses who actually make porn and the rest who make something that "just" passes and see how many you get.
