Hey, Phlogiston, I don't think Americans are evil.

In fact, I actually care about Americans and that's why I hate seeing them die on the news every night.

Why are they dying by the way.

Punctuation aside, I suppose you are asking me a question. Here goes:

I supported the destruction of Saddam's regime, but I am against the "nation building" crap we have today. I don't think Muslims are capable of civilized government, without a substantial western force to prop it up, coordinate it, and keep the Muslims from behaving like ultraviolent savages. I am an unapologetic subscriber to the "radioactive sea of glass" school of U.S.-Islamic relations.

Short answer: I think the theory is a middle east with politically efficacious governments would reduce violent extremism by allowing grievances can be aired through political activism and voting, as opposed to carbombs and shootings. In effect, tomorrows Islamic extremists would be more like Jerry Falwell than Zarqawi: extreme but not particularly violent.

In time, I think the "radiocative sea of glass" will prove to be the only effective means to stop Islamic terrorism, but as a scientist I can see the need for the experiment that is Iraq. We should know if Muslims can be brought into the civilized world before we radiologically contaminate a significant part of the Earth.

Instead of blaming liberals or Canadieans, ask yourself why Americans are dying and why your right to watch porn is being eroded.

I didn't blame Canadians for anything, but did observe that is it extremely common for them to hate Americans. I don't care for liberals by any means, but in relation to porn it can be said that no mainstream political allies exist: Republicans want it gone because they think it it offends Jesus and Democrats want it gone because they think the "womyn" are being "exploited". The "erosion of the right to watch porn" is purely bipartisan.
