I went to a high school which did the pledge of allegiance every other day, so as not to offend the illegals and sick white liberals. I, of course, would say it extremely loud so that the liberals and minority militants who chose to sit would feel antagonized.
As for this article, several things trouble me:

How about teaching American culture rather than appealing to La Raza or Mechista reconquistadors, Kaczynski?

American kids in American schools who don't pay tribute to foreign nations get punished. We can look the academic record of the school and see that only 51% of their 11th graders meet or exceed state reading standards, while only 52% meet the math standards. This means about half the kids are academically sub-standard in at least one way, and they are busy pumping their kids full of "multiculturalism" in lieu of reading, writing, and math. This is typical of the modern American high school, I'm willing to bet.
