Phlog, you live in California. I understand your frustration living right next to those people. But, I hope you realize that the rest of the country largely discounts any opinion that seems like it came from California. It's like the people out there prefer to have stuff to protest against. They like it when there's something they can walk up and down the streets with signs about.
Last time I hung around somebody from California, we were at the mall and I wanted some coffee. The only place around was Starbucks. The guy told me he wouldn't buy coffee from Starbucks because of some social policies by that company. I asked which ones. He told me he couldn't remember. I had to wait till we got back to the office to get some coffee. This would be our impression of California.
My favorite sign in that gallery is the "I heart New York even more without the World Trade Center". Surely that's just a guy having a nice day in the park. But, it makes you wonder.
