I spent about 18 months doing it. Working steadily for 4-5 days a week.

I actually have no idea on what all I was on, there was so many things that I may have did one day or something.

sometimes I would work on something for a week and never see myself on film. I worked on Face/off in the prison but you never see me. I knew that from the get go, being the camera was faced away from me. I was kind of pissed.

I worked on GIA and actually sat talking to Angelina jolie in a hospital scene. but, again, I don't think you see me.

mainly I remember the stuff I worked on, on a consistent basis. like friends, The Single Guy, that stuff.

it would be funny when people would say "hey I saw you on drew Carey last night!" and I'd be surprised.

yeah all this was about 6 years ago...

my brother does it for fun occasionally.

here in L.A. (as I'm sure all over) there are "casting agencies" that'll swear to book you and get you work...just about all of them are shams.

there are a couple of legit ones, I went to one on a recommendation of a friend who was already SAG. they took my picture. now I was in the system to be booked.

I then paid someone to book me, make sure I got good gigs, I preferred to work at studios rather than location, so he made sure I did (I worked a lot on the WB studio & CBS Radford Studio)...I hate working locations.

I was pretty well liked. because I was an ethnic and somewhat versatile. and could blend in, but still be visible because of my look.

so when I got TV show gigs, I stuck with them. on ER I was an orderly for several episodes, Boston Common I was a student....shit like that.

If you were SAG pay about about 200 for 8hours. i think, plus bumps. butthat also means you get paid that if you broke after 15 minutes, too. Non-union was about half. after 8 hours your pay went time & a half until 12then it was double.

the money was not much , but you did nothing all day just hangout, read, whatever. on fridays the friends call was 10am. we'd go in and run the show, by 11:30 we had nothing to do, so we'd go see a movie, come back at 5. fuck around until show taped @ 7pm, run it in front of the audience, then do whatever needed to be fixed afterward we were usually out by 10:30. Paid allday to hang around Warner Brothers & universal (where we'd go see movies)it was cake.
