Ah, good for Lennon. From what I know about his life, the drugs he did never did him or anyone else any harm in his personal life. I guess there is an argument somewhere that it was a bad influence on society, etc.

I'd rather have a good time playing music and doing drugs occasionally than start a revolution anyhow. Lennon probably felt the same way. I remember some interview late in his career where he was saying he wished he could just go on stage and do songs like Be-Bop A Lula and not have to worry about cultural significance or anything like this. The FBI was just making a big to do about nothing.
