Phlog actually made this point in another thread about the American media downplaying the violence. I can't fathom why they would do that. My initial guess would just be spineless corporate media more worried about making a buck than really getting the story. Maybe if they put something that controversial up, they'd be worried about baklashes from the public that would in turn hurt their ratings and financial bottom line? I'm reading tea leaves here though.
