In certain circles, cocaine is referred to as the "status drug", given that it is the preferred narcotic of the wealthy, upwardly mobile, attractive, and famous. If any celebrity goes to rehab, cocaine is almost always a part of their repertoire.
Which leaves the poor and stupid to do drugs like speed. Need I say more.
