Now that I understand it, that pic is hilarious. You know movements used to mean people would get together and block the entrance to a building, or march down streets in the middle of a city. Now, you can just get one regular person and a Senator that the media likes, and they beam it all over the country. You don't have to go down to the local protest, just sit on your couch and if the phone rings answer an opinion poll. I just wish I could better explain how ridiculous that pic is.

That picture also shows that the media industry still doesn't understand what's going on. Like with the internet, you used to walk in a store and were pretty much stuck with whatever the salesman told you was good. Now, you can look it up on the internet. Many ndustries are now having more trouble deeming products "good" through political and financial power. However, the media is still doing it the same old way. They've deemed Cindy Sheehan as culturally significant for us. What's happening to the travel industry with the old guard airlines going broke with eventually happen to the media companies.
