Aurora police received dozens of new tips Tuesday identifying additional alleged victims of a man who police say posed as a teenager and sometimes as pop star Michael Jackson to have sex with children.

Police have logged more than 30 calls since releasing the name of Zuri-Kye Latifbay McGhee, 31.

"We always thought we had more victims out there," police spokesman Sgt. Rudy Herrera said Tuesday.

The department is considering adding more detectives to the investigation to help deal with the influx of tips, Herrera said.

The detective is "going to need help again, based on the number of calls he received today," Herrera said. "We need to talk to all of these callers in a timely manner."

McGhee was arrested last month, accused of sexually assaulting at least 18 male and female children between the ages of 9 and 13. He may have assaulted some of the juveniles 50 to 100 times, police said.

Police say McGhee befriended children by pretending to be a child. He also would occasionally dress up like Jackson to win over children.

Calls have run the gamut, from information identifying new victims to one from a person who has since moved to Florida and had more details about McGhee for investigators, Herrera said.

McGhee was arrested in July after the parents of a 14-year-old boy told police that their son had been sexually assaulted on numerous occasions between June 2002 and March 2005, according to a police statement.

When arrested, McGhee initially told officers he was 13.

After getting an arrest warrant, police discovered McGhee living at an Aurora home with an 11-year-old boy and the boy's parents.

McGhee is being held at Arapahoe County Jail. His bail was set at $800,000. The case file has been sealed by the judge.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 8.

Aurora police are asking anyone who has had close association with McGhee to contact Detective Dean Ziegler at 303-739-6088.
