Anybody can go to AIM at any time and be tested for everything that everybody has mentioned here(herpes,Hpv, syphillis, hepatitis, trichomonis, etc, etc,). The only tests that AIM makes "public" are the HIV and gonn.chlamydia.
It is up to the TALENT to decide what tests they want done. AIM does not "enforce" any "rules" regarding testing, that is up to the individual TALENT. The entire AIM program is voluntary. There are no laws regarding testing, unlike the laws in nevada regarding brothel workers.
Should AIM test for more things more often is not the proper question. The proper question is should the TALENT test themselves more often? It is the TALENTS responsibility.
I think one thing the talent should always remember is...not only are you taking a risk, but YOU YOURSELF ARE PUTTING OTHERS AT RISK when you dont use any protection, which in this buissness is most of the time.
I dont know this for fact but I would speculate that there are a number of performers who test more often and for a wider variety of std's than just the minimum "requirement"
AIM does not 'require' talent to test. It is the talent who you're working with that requires that you be tested.
Bambi, you made some good points. And if you are a performer,(I dont know if you are or not) you can go get tested as often as you like. Nothing is stopping you or any other performer from testing as often as you feel comfortable with.
