Maybe, Maybe Not is not the thing here. The prosecution has to bring and clear and convincing case, "beyond a reasonable doubt" and they didn't do it. There wasn't any physical evidence, nor any credible witnesses.
I can easily say "it's possible he didn't do it" on this one and that's all it takes... If the prosecutor wants a conviction - and this particular prosecutor badly wants Jackson - he's going to have to suck it up and do his job.
