I read this following blog entry from an industry girl that may be of interest. I did a google search on "will hammer" and just seemed to get one piece/press release that a few websites had....any info on this dude? legit? Not? Kara's Blog Link Rent is due on Monday. Unfortunately for me, it looks like I'll be late. Why? Well, here's the deal:
A guy emails me several weeks ago saying he wants to book me in Vegas for three scenes for which he offered to pay me $4000.
After I emailed him several times about my reservations regarding email bookings, he increased that amount to $5000.
I was still skeptical, knowing full well that I've been burned in the past with offers like this. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."
I asked him twice to call me, so I could confirm the booking, and get a good idea who he was, what his company was, and so forth.
He only emailed me. I finally got his number and tried calling him. Each time there was no answer, and I got a lame excuse via email the following day.
Red flags? Sure. In hindsight I knew what was happening. But there was something about the offer ($$$) that was kind of hard to pass up.
I read up on him, and discovered that he was, or had been at least, a legitimate player in the adult internet business.
I thought to myself, that maybe I should hang in there and see what happens.
Okay, the week comes he's supposed to be here and I need my HIV/STD test.
I go to the Planned Parenthood in my neighborhood and am told it will take a week to get the results. Screw that. I need the test in a few days!
Next stop is the Clark County Health Clinic, where I get tested when I go to the brothels. They give me the runaround, so I call AIM, the Adult Industry Medical Foundation.
They tell me that I can get tested in Vegas at a draw station just a block away from the County Health Clinic.
So, the next morning (Wednesday), I show up and have give my samples. The clinic is supposed to send the samples via FedEx to AIM in Sherman Oaks, CA. Surprise, surprise! I call on Friday for my results, but I'm told that the samples were mislabeled and sent to San Francisco!
By this time I'm shitting bricks, because the shoot is Saturday (today). After bitching with AIM, I get home and find out that I can go to a lab clear on the other side of town and that I'll have a test done and ready by the call time.
Off I go again. I get two blood samples taken, because they were confused about the type of test.
I leave, thinking everything's in the clear. But I get home and there's an urgent message from the supervisor at the lab.
She called me first thing in the morning to tell me that she'd sent the sample to AIM!!!!! Never fear, she'll send the unused sample to the lab and eat the lab fee, and that I'll have the results by 11:00 am.
I show up, and they inform me that they're still not done. .. Luckily, I left with test in hand by noon.
Then the shit hits the fan. . .
At 2:30 I get a knock on my door by a fellow pornstar who asks if I know where the producer is, and apologizing that she's late.
She had to drive from LA for the shoot. We tell her that he had emailed us and said that he'd be at another location starting at 1:30 before coming to our house to shoot my scenes.
She rushes over there, and calls me saying that it's a gated community, and that there's nobody around. No matter, she says, because he was going to be shooting her on Sunday.
At 5:30 I get another knock, this time three gentlemen are standing outside wondering where the producer was.
They'd been at the first location for several hours waiting for him to show.
Thinking he was at our place, they cruised over here. The videographer just drove all the way to Vegas from LA just to do these scenes, and has put himself up at a nice hotel.
The other two, like the pornstar at my door, are from Vegas. They also say that they ran into another girl at the first location.
In the middle of all this, I told the first pornstar that a friend of ours was named as one of the male talent.
She calls him on his cell to ask him what's going on, and he says he doesn't know anything about the shoot and that he's at home in LA.
You can see where this is going. . .
So here I sit writing this, watching my faith in humanity begin to falter.
My husband and I worked overtime getting our house ready for this shoot, which meant spending quite a bit of money that should be going towards rent.
For my part, shoots have been few and too far between. In four years, I've done maybe a dozen titles. Some girls do that in two weeks.
I work hard, I play by the rules, I spend two hours a day in the gym, I work on my tan, and I dedicate myself to my job.
My husband, for his part, has logged uncountable hours on my publicity, my website, and making sure I'm sane. But for what?
Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the porn industry. I think if college educated women knew how liberating it was, more of you would do it in a heartbeat.
When I work it's a great feeling. It's a great feeling to know that, sometimes, the hard work pays off. But in moments like this I have to wonder how much it's worth continuing. Worse. I have to question the motives of someone like Will Hammer, the producer in question.
I think he should be blacklisted, blackballed, and exposed for the fraud he is. The problem really is that he's not alone. This has happened not only to me, but my fellow sisters in this industry as well. The problem isn't while we're on set, it's whether we actually get there at all.

Never heard of him either, even though he's supposed to be some big internet porn king pin based out of Vegas.

Do you happen to know anything about the eviction laws of Kaleefornia...I imagine they benefit the renter.
i don't...the chick lives in vegas, tho...
