Far too many people seem to believe that xxxpt was started and funded Jeff as their personal playground. It's unbelievable the number of PMs I get demanding that user X be banned for no better reason than "I don't like him."

If you want a place where you can say what you like then you have to accept that others will do that too. That's how this place it different from ADT - you generally needn't post in fear of being banned for what you say, but the flip side is that you're going to have to put up with others doing the same thing.
