Wow, somebody has been reading Foucault! And yeah, it's the reality of what's happening on camera that makes gonzo hot, and for me, it doesn't really matter if that reality is pleasure, pain, disgust, humiliation or any other range of emotion as long as it seems as if the viewer is getting a true glimpse into the vacant soul that is porn.
This is why the BTS portion of DVDS has become more prevelent...we all want to catch a glimpse of what she's "really like". Hell, I bought "seven the hard way" just for the BTS. There's even a Chris Streams, 3rd Degree DVD that I loved because Keri Sable freaks out so bad she almost leaves the set and then explains it was the fact that she still lives at home and had to go to her high school gradution in a few days that had her freaked out.
