Ok everyone, we have allowed you guys to get pretty crazy with multiple accounts that post alot of nonsense for no reason and I just did a couple of bannings related to this: Terri Shiavo and Yoda. Basically there is a new policy in effect that you cannot create alternate accounts for your posts, so please abide by it or you may get banned permanently. We don't want the board to sink to ADT levels! I'm sure you'll all agree with that. Tony Okay, just to be the kid in class that yells "you forgot to assign us any homework", does/can this apply retroactively to old multiple accounts? I personally agree with your new policy. Every once in a while someone pulls off a good prank with an alternate ID ala DTDanza but for the most part they are a tremendous waste of time and energy. People will still pull off the pranks using alternate methods but at least they will be the ones smart enough to use proxy servers and whatnot. I was tired of my alternate ID anyway.

I pissed a few people off at the very end with ADT Rocks- mainly Random whom I like as a poster but I thought my most fun one was Ron Jeremy- I would never have let anyone actually sign up for a cruise but it was good while it lasted. I've outgrown all that now and I'm ready to move on. Both of mine were harmless and never attacked an individual poster, with the possible exception of Random who seemed mentally up to the challenge.

I don't think Jeff and I mind it that much when you have an alternate ID that you use to constructively contribute to a thread, but people who sign them up and use them for nonsense posts, that's the real problem. If you use an alternate ID to shield your identity to post something useful or a scoop or some observation, we're not gonna crucify you for that, let's just follow the general rule of thumb of keeping shit relevant.
