with the passing of chloe jones finally behind us no matter how hard that guy moblem tries to beat a dead whore, i can't help but wonder if steve hirsch is indeed the devil. don't get me wrong, he's a phenomenal human being and one of my idols, but i think being a vivid girl and fighting in iwo jima have roughly the same survival rates. like three vivid girls haven't ended up shells of human beings or shooting themselves in the head by the end of their contracts. i'll put digital playground in the same first-tier "contract-contract" bunch since they turned tera patrick into some strange malaysian animal, maybe something in the lemur family. and she's got a sketchy, abusive, has-been to beat her. jenna said nikki tyler was pretty much qualified to join the hollywood ski team, teagan's coked-out, knocked-up and has a boyfriend with a swastika tat. devon, from what i can gather has spent more time in rehab and changing her face, witness-protection-style, than in southern california shooting movies. vivid probably needs nothing to be said other than the names savannah, ginger, chloe, taylor, and tawny.
so what's the deal here? we all love wacky chicks, but they need direction and stuff to fill their time other than retread-rockstar boyfriends and mountains of disco shit to put up their noses. steve, can i suggest some kind of daycare, run by the monkey cage? we can promise 50% survival and 30% literacy at the end of the day.

So true Jamesn. What Steve Hirsch has to start doing is enlisting the services of a shrink as part of his staff fulltime. either that or hes going to have to start giving the girls hes looking to sign, psychological evaluations. Isn't this what the Nazis tried to do with the Hitler Youth? A cage Daycare center...hmmmmm....well I could put my wheelchair fleet out in the playground and let the crumbcrushers crash into each other while I have my morning constitutional(s)...of course, 8 to 1 that at least 50% of the kids end up not getting picked up for 3 days at a time, the typical meth/coke binge duration.
Something tells me though, this could actually work...and I think Monstar would have to be included, as the young girls would benefit from makeup lessons, and our Indian is the most qualified on that front.

What exactly is the point of being a contract girl? Tera got on a lot of foofy airport/laundromat reading material covers for magazines that nobody reads, but she was still broke at the end of the day. And they do better press than anybody.
So what does it add up to? The girls who grab the lure of the contract are interested in a steady check, even if it's peanuts compared to what they make being squished between bedsprings and the flab of grotesque car salesmen when they're out hooking. You have to look at it through Whore Logic: a steady check means they can spend a set amount each month on oxycontin and other prescription crunk, with their hooking taking care of less essential needs (rent, shoes, their boyfriends' recording studio time, etc).

I actually think it has to do with the fact they don't work much. If you are free lancing you are always working, doing different scenes for different companies, vivd gets a lot of money for their stuff that has nothing to do with units sold, so their job is to get the hottest stars in the biz at the time and try to string them out as long as possible, get the most from them over a period of time. BUT the more free time these performers have then the more time they work out ways to destroy themselves, if they are always working then that takes up a lot of time that they would've used snorting large amounts of coke off a 80's hair metal band's lead singers chest, trying to top their pain killer intake record from the week before or in devons case seeing how thin you can get the bridge before cutting off the oxygen to your brain
