. . . and meant something. I mean, I was a white kid growing up in Iowa but I "got it". Rap honestly taught me about how my own beloved nation regularly shits on its own people (minorities). Early rap was good protest music in the vein of Peter Tosh and the Clash. Hell I still bump "Nation of Millions". Nothing compares these days. I know every generation hits a stage around the age of 30 or so and wonders, where did it all go wrong, where did we all miss the bus?
