The wife to the British radio host Tim Shaw, sold her husbands Lotus Esprit Turbo for only $1.00. It was known that Tim Shaw and his wife Hayley Shaw, were having some difficulties in their marriage, but it was Tim Shaws comment in a live radio show, where he was interviewing the famous fashion model Jodie Marsh, that made the final move.
Tim Shaw said that he was ready to leave wife and kids for the sake of Jodie Marsh, and that was just too humiliating for Mrs. Shaw. After a few minutes she put an auction on ebay saying;
"Lotus Esprit Turbo for sale. I need to get rid of this car as fast as possible - preferebly within a few hours, so that when my husband comes home he will find his stuff on the street and an empty carport."
The car was sold within a few minutes for only $1!
