The difference is his high profile and the fact that Scientology was written by a science fiction writer who, 10 years before penning the book (Dianetics), was quoted saying " The way to make a million dollars is to start a religion ." I'm not saying that the other books of faith in this world are possibly any less absurd, there just don't appear to be any quotes by their authors that are quite so incriminating. There you go.
